Hi,

Im looking for some advise, i have a 28cdi boiler and cant get any hot water its been like this for 2 days now. luckily I have homecare with british gas so any repairs are not going to cost anything but i have had 2 engineer visits and the diverter valve has been replaced but there is still no hot water?? The engineers are now trying to say that we dont have enough water pressure, but our pressure at the prop although low has not changed in the 10 years we have been here and the boiler has worked ok for the 6 years its been in? I have a new visit booked for tomorrow so would like to know if anything else could be causing the problem? I dont want to end up being trampled on by a bolshy engineer!!

Thanks

I'm just a householder, so I'll ask the RGI's - if the flow has always been marginal, could crud in the plate heat exchanger be the cause?

Have they checked the microswitch on the diverter to see if its making in hw mode.

I had my diverter valve replaced a couple of months ago and the engineer also replaced the water to water heat exchanger because it was scaled up and reducing the flow. Perhaps they don't want to do this as the part is expensive.
