In answer to the Shower tray query The best result is to build 4x2 timber on three sides of the tray to elevate it to enable access to the waste. The open side of the timber work to the front where the shower outlet should be located NOT at the back. The front panel can be in finished timber screwed to the ends of the 4x2s and can be tiled over. Plop the tray on top of the timber level up with shims as necessary seal to the walls before tiling with mass sealant tile to the shower tray and seal a second time. Best job I know
