Thanks for the input.Every little bit helps.do u reckon wiring in a manual timer would be the route to go? If so with the right instructions is it something a novice should tackle?

Thanks for the comments regarding the removal of my plate heat exchanger screws, however I dont know if you are aware that the screws are actually countersunk and therefore I cannot get at them. I can send you pics if you would be prepared to look at them and advise?
