I've recently bought a house in Wrexham to be closer to my child.
however I find myself on a budget and little experience in house renorvatin, I am however quite handy and hands on but it's needing to know whats what sometimes even on the most simplest tasks..I feel once I know I'm happy to tackle any job.
my new home is approx built in 1900 it's of solid wall structure with no DPC There is a bitumen ground floor throughout. I live at the property in its renovation. Previous owner had no hesting on and windows closed I believe. All wallpaper isnow removed due to condensation and I'm letting the house air. Most plaster is removed too due to being blown, it is lime horsehair. Im going down the route of not installing chemical damp proof cream or dpc. I believe a property of this age needs to breath and i am planning on going with the lime plaster route. In the many months to come i will be posting many questions and i would like to say thanks in advance for your replies.
