    Push button flush malfunction.

Yeah that's what I'm planning, hopefully they'll have what I need but it is a non standard size (2.5 inch hole in the cistern). Thanks for your help (y)

    Push button flush malfunction.

I'm not sure because it's all disassembled again. The main leak was from one of the fixing bolts but the doughnut was wet though. I think it's that the cistern isn't totally square and as you say the water has come up through the doughnut. I'm going to the local plumbers merchants tomorrow...

    Push button flush malfunction.

Thanks for the reply. I managed to get it out earlier, the washer has bubbled up which I assume is the issue. Problem I have now reinstalling the cistern, as there are leaks from somewhere (I stupidly removed the whole thing :().

    Push button flush malfunction.

20210613_092659 by Sharpey posted 13 Jun 2021 at 9:54 AMHello all. Forgive me if these questions are daft, I know next to nothing about plumbing. I've got an issue where my cistern doesn't fill and water just constantly runs in to the bowl. I think it might be the outlet as I pushed down the...

Advice on fitting kitchen tap needed.

Thanks. The tap is this one, Caple Ridley Copper The sink was fitted first as it needed to be secured for the quartz worktop to templated/fitted. There is a hole cut out on the shelf the sink sits on for access to the tap area. Here are some pics to get a better idea How the shank connects...

Advice on fitting kitchen tap needed.

Hello all. I'm currently trying to fit a new kitchen tap. I've never done this before. There is very little room to grip the back nut and get enough purchase to nip it up tight enough to make sure the tap doesn't swivel or move on the surface. I can't find a basin wrench or box spanner that...

A question about boiler service charges.

Great, thanks for the replies. Sorry if that was a daft question!

A question about boiler service charges.

Hi all. I recently had my boiler serviced, and was charged for the hours labour and a couple of parts. The boiler pressure was constantly increasing. The filling loop was said to be letting by so this was disconnected and capped. The boiler is now said to be fixed. However, new parts are...

Probably daft question about loft insulation.

Yeah I will leave a gap, I'm not insulating above 100mm anyway so it won't block. I just want to cover some edges that aren't insulated in the hope it will stop mould growing on the bedroom ceilings.

Right OK, thanks for the response. Hopefully it will fill out when unwrapped.

Probably daft question about loft insulation.

Hello all. I am planning on laying some loft insulation soon. I have bought 100mm base layer, but when it's rolled up it doesn't look 100mm to me, much thinner. I don't think it expands as you open it, so the question I have is the 100mm a guide as to what the insulation is rated at, or is...

Central heating pipes under concrete floor.

Thanks for the tips. It's just because of the oak flooring going on top, it says to put a DPM underneath.

Central heating pipes under concrete floor.

Thanks again. Do you reckon there would be any issues with putting a DPM under the pipes?
