Hi

I have a conventional boiler with an unvented cylinder (Megaflo type), the timings are consistent every day and the dial is always set to 4 on the cylinder thermostat.

However the temperature of the hot water tends to fluctuate, some days it will just be warm and then the next few days piping hot then some days just hot. Is this normal ?

This is in all water outlets and regardless of season / outside temperature. As I have noticed it when there has been a run of 23 degree days. Thanks

and the water is not fully hot even at, say, 5.30pm? I have in mind that the hot water might be getting used up or dripping away.

Looking at your gas meter, is it using in the region of 1 cubic metre of gas per day, during summer?

How old is the boiler, and how often is it serviced?

Boiler is new 2.5 years old replaced when cylinder was put in. Some days it is hot and some days it is just warm.
