Hi,

I have an electric gate with a pulsed voltage output for a beacon to illuminate, the peak output is 18v, and has subsequently burnt out two cheap&nasty LED style strobes.

Can anyone suggest what my options are for a xenon style strobe to replace the existing? My concerns are two fold:

1. 18v will burn out a new 12v xenon
2. a xenon strobe will presumably have some electronics to generate a pulsed flash, how will this integrate with my pre existing pulsed output?

The alternative would be to connect the xenon strobe to one of the 24v gate motor outputs, therefore the strobe will be powered at 24v for the entire time the motor is running - but this again is the wrong voltage!

Thanks for reading.
