forums/ new posts /recent posts on the top r hand side

Totally agree.
The Admin. are like so many DIY'ers who dont seem to know what they are doing, and only make things worse by messing about with something thats already fit for purpose.

I think it is like anything that you get used to doing and then another way of doing it comes along. It takes a bit of time to get used to it but when you do, you forget how it used to be.

Works better on an iPad, the alerts in the top right lets me know who's replid to posts I've made, and the image uploade is way less of a faff. Overall, I like it, though I don't find a huge difference between em.

No, this I have to disagree with. The admin definitely knows what he is doing, from a software development perspective.. The addition of the thanks feature alongside the like feature would have been impossible for the average nugget who doesn't really know what to do with computers but installs software written by others.

Tell you what, if you don't like something, put together a reasoned argument, describe exactly what you don't like and how you'd prefer it be, and post up your wishes in the new forum feedback section. You might just find them granted (I did, wih the thanks feature)

The thanks feature has been replaced with ratings recieved you thank someone but it turns into a rating

Yes but when the new site was born there was NO thanks option only a LIKE option. Most of us had a bit of a moan and it was changed to THANKS and LIKE.

Admin/Mods do listen.

As for the new site, I am ambivalent.
