Hello,

I need a replacement kitchen cupboard door. I bought one from Wickes and it was almost a match, but the rails(?), stiles(?) were slightly too big. Do other places let you adjust the size of the rails or stiles? By rails or stiles I mean, y'know, the frame type thing within the door. Or is it called something else? Could anyone recommend a place I could get this done? I've been trying for a while to find a solution and I'm about ready to jump off a tall building

If you've had no joy searching the web or the local suppliers it will probably have to be bespoke .......

That was a joke. Yeah, pretty much the same thread. I thought a new thread might give a better chance of getting an answer, Forum Sheriff :p

I only asked because I remembered the location and recall posting a response regarding having a door made locally. I suppose that would prove too expensive for an Aberdonian [hence the expression 'as quiet as Aberdeen on a flag day']

:D

I'm not actually from Aberdeen, it was just the first name on the drop down when I signed up. I appreciated your answers, and the others too, but I'm still looking for a solution. I don't want to pay to have it made up as it isn't my house, and the only reason the door cracked was because the landlord has such cheap doors. I just really wanted to know if places will allow you to alter the size of the stiles, rails, whatever they are?

:)

I just wanted to know if regular places like kitchendoorworkshop would allow you to alter those things, but I guess not. Thanks.

It's a long shot, but would anyone happen to own or know where I could get a shaker style door, with 50mm panels/rails? Every place you look has the style of door, it's just getting one that has 50mm things on it.

What's it made of? Is it plain wood or coated?

How thick is it?

What are the dimensions?

What are the sizes of the rails (across) and stiles (up and down) ?

Where is the original one damaged?

Here's a photo of the door, in case anyone has spotted one with similar sized rails (50mm)
