Looking for some advice
I am hoping you can help me with the following problem.

My Daughter lives in a Barratt's home in Abercarn S.Wales.
The shower is dripping and I believe I need to change the cartridge.

I have found replacement cartridges on the internet but I need to decide whether I need a HP or LP unit.
Is there anything that may indicate which shower type (HP or LP) would have been fitted on this estate back in 2006.
If not, is there something I can check to decide which type it is.

Barratt were unable to help us.

What would be the consequences of fitting the wrong type?

Thanks in anticipation of some advice.

I'm not an expert on these, but is there a chance you can see what colour the original cartridge is?

The net is saying ....

SYMPTOMS
- drips from the shower head/handset or wont turn off
- leaks from the controls
- cant regulate the temperature

WHICH CARTRIDGE?
- for a comi boiler choose PINK
- for high pressure pumped system or when using unvented hotwater (eg Megaflow) use GREEN
- for low pressure (ie gravity cold tank & hot water sylinder) use ORANGE

Flick off the little hydro max cover with a neon screwdriver in the centre of the shower, pushes to the left if memory serves me right
Under this is a screw, undo it and then you can separate the two halves of the shower, just a little for now
Look into the body of the shower and you will see the colour of the band around the existing cartridge
Ring the shower doctor , order replacement
Title of shower is aqualisa aquarium, I think

Not sure at present, need to visit my Daughter's in a day or so to find out.

Depending on what type of unvented your daughter has a depleted air gap or flat expansion vessel can cause the shower to drip, does the cylinder have the manufacturers name on it ?

Hi, it has a plate saying "Range TRIBUNE HE Duplex"

Get the expansion vessel checked before changing the shower cartridge.

Thanks for advice everyone. Tuned out to need a new (green) cartridge, job done this evening.
