Hi all

I recently had my hallway re-plastered. The plasterer left the switch on (I assume to leave me with light). Now I have come to replace the switch which was stuck to the plaster. Removing it has left a bit of a mess (see picture).

Any ideas of how I can make this look decent? The electrician put some filler over and obviously i need to paint but is there away to make this look mint?

Phil

Get yourself a small tub of easy sand filler (its ready mixed). Apply, sand down flush, apply a watered down (30 percent) coat of emulsion to the filler and finish with your top coat colour. Depending on the paint you used it may flash (stand out) but there's not much you can do about that, some paints touch up some don't.

HI Dcdec,

Thanks for your reply. Sounds like sound advice. I plan on re-painting the entire wall with a proper Farrow and ball white so I guess that means matching won't be an issue?

That would be the best course of action Phil, just make sure you prime the filler as i described to prevent the flashing and all should be fine.
