Cleaning Hardwood flooring

hi we have hardwood flooring in the landing - but over the years it has got very dirty.
i wish i never put this now and kept laminate but everyone kept saying how much more luxurious hardwood flooring is

well maybe in my living room as we take shoes off in landing......but the actual landing looks terrible now.

is there any way to restore or get to close to, original oak colour?

in terms of cleaning is there anything i could do or someone i could hire?

neighbour said see if a sanding machine works???

I have just had oak floor put down & did plenty of research re the cleaning. I bought a cleaning kit so that I am ready.

hello

i actually searched on Google first - the reason for posting on here is because my marks are already on there now - and i could not find anything related to cleaning existing floors with bad marks - as opposed to preserving something that is brand new....

any tips appreciated as it looks really bad as you can see from the pic.....

what is the name of the person who would sand and "refinish" my floor?

i wish to search yellow pages for people in that profession and get some quotes....
