OK which is the bigger threat to life?

Well lets say that in London alone, pollution kills around 10,000 per year. Or about 25 per day.

Over the whole of the UK - 80,000.

Is terrorism really the big danger to us all?

When you are dead from pollution - you are still just as dead.

And it's the 'clean' low Co2 diesel engine that is the main culprit.

Crazy isn't it? Everyone panics about terror, but completely ignores pollution.

How many have died in terror attacks in the UK since 7/7 (05)?

Just Lee Rigby. Just one person v 80,000.

And by the strict letter of the Law the Lee Rigby Killing was Murder not a Terrorist attack .
 
I'd take pollution any day, when all you need to do to counter it, is wear a decent filter mask.

Is pollution directly responsible for those 10'000/80'000 deaths or merely a contributor?

Terrorism in western society is a symptom of immigration, ie. immigrants unsuited to democracies based on largely Christian values. Stop immigration to The West, and you will help to control both terrorism and pollution.

I have never understood why we are constantly harassed by the authorities in this country to consume less. We're told to use less water, fuel, petrol, food, etc, etc. The same authorities who are conditioning people to use less are busy importing extra millions of people who will consume. Why should we listen to these idiots? Why Should we make changes to our lives, and possibly sacrifices, if the government is scuppering peoples' efforts by growing the consumer base. Burn it all up, before some Somali bastard gets your share!! :evil: :evil:

I think Timothy McVeigh, the IRA, the guy who shot up the church in the US and the animal rights nutcases may prove your point wrong.

Just because others are also guilty of terrorism, doesn't prove my point wrong. With Islamic terrorism, we're only at the beginning of a very long and dangerous road.

I don't quite understand your point.

You are saying that terrorism is a symptom of immigration, yet there are countless examples of non immigrants taking part in terrorism the world over.

In fact in the 7/7 bombings, only 1 was born outside the UK, and he was born in Jamaica! Hardly a hot bed of terrorism.

There are radical "Christians" who have purported acts of terror, raised in Christian democracies.

Don't get me wrong, radical Islam is a grave threat, but saying that immigration is a cause of terrorism is quite a leap.

How about: "some terrorists act, but by no means all, are carried out by people whose beliefs are not in line with the unwritten constitution of the United Kingdom. Some of these people are either not UK nationals, or are from families that have emigrated to the UK over the past 2 or 3 generations."

So what you are saying is stop immigration and terrorism will cease?
Does that mean countries with more strict immigration policies have zero terrorism?

My guess is that modern communication methods simplifies global terrorism.
