Is this decent to run Autodesk Revit 2016 on ?

On paper, yes. The performance requirements for Autodesk Revit 2016 are a DirectX 11 graphics card with shader model 3. Your Laptop has an AMD Radeon HD 7620G graphics card which is DirectX 11 and uses shader model 5.0 which is ok. You've also got a quad-core AMD processor which more than meets the minimum requirements. That's minimum though...

TBH it really comes down to what you going to be doing on Autodesk; large, complex models are going to stress the hell out of your processor and graphics (the recommended processor is an Intel Xeon or workstation class processor for performance use) and the clock speeds of both your processor and graphics aren't terribly fast.

I would download the trial and see how it runs, see how much you can throw at it, etc. And monitor your CPU, RAM and GPU usage to see how they're coping.

DIYspanner, you're in for a mighty steep learning curve if you've been using AutoCAD up to now. :p

Been using Autocad ? ............ indeed, since 1986.

However Revit is to be used by my nephew who is about to start his MEng degree in construction and needs a laptop.
