My mum has a half glazed door with an etched panel which has a fairly inticate pattern.
She wants to treat herself to a new door, but would like to have a similar piece of glass.
A local company has quoted for a new door, on the basis that their supplier can "match any glass for £100". Having been sent a photo the supplier now says it is too complicated, and have come up with a new definition of matching any glass.
It seems that if we can get a template made it should be fairly easy to get the glass etched, but I have no idea how to go about this. Some kind of vinyl transfer company?
We could get the door supplied without glass and then go to somewhere like Leadbitter, but they want £600+ to match the design and supply the glass.
Has anyone got any ideas, so that I can keep my Mum happy?!
