A fascia board has been capped with UPVC and is flush underneath the felt drips of a flat roof edge. It seems to me to be crying out for some mastic though the top of the board is capped to a depth of 12mm, won't water ingress past this 12mm as it drips down the ermmmm felt drips? Should I pay the roofers?

On the left you can see where the gap was sufficiently alarming looking (a few mil) for me to ask the roofers to mastic.

errrmm do I have to post image from photobucket or similar

you can buy a upvc jointing strip which will slip under the drip and over the edge of the fascia board it is designed to solve this problem and looks better than messy silicone or mastic sealant.
