Hello all, Got a tax question if you don't mind?

I do work for a person in his private dwelling, said person owns his own large building contracting company. Said person only wants to use local trades, not his own blokes "which is great".

I have been doing the odd day on and off for a year, but now the build is getting to the stage of weeks required rather than the odd day. It has been put to me that I should invoice his company for materials supplied and labour under the heading of supply and delivery. He says that he will set me up as a supplier and BACS pay me, thus he doesn't have to do my "cis" .
I don't want to say the obvious but it would be difficult to find receipts for say £800 of labour under the heading of delivery! can i subtract "labour" under the heading of delivery and pay the percentage of tax myself.

Thanks if you can help

I can see this ending in tears.
Ask your accountant.

TBH TonyW2, after giving it much thought I told the customer that I can't do invoicing supply and delivery it would have to be supply and labour and either I do tax or he does cis, all sorted so thanks all the same
