We have a fairly new extractor hood which has just died, before I get someone out as it's under warranty I need to check there is power getting to the hood. The connection is behind the chimnry hood which would be a real pain in the arse to try and remove as it's very tight.
I doubt the issue is the connection behind , it's a big connector block (not the normal white ones) and this goes into fused switch, which I have checked and fuse is not the issue.
So how would I check that there is a supply reaching the pcn? Most things I have read about multi meters seem to indicate the power is switched off and used to test circuits etc, but I want to test the supply is not the issue....?
Any help appreciated
