Hi All,

Lady who desperately needs help / a shower! I've just had my flat refurbished and in the process the plumbing & radiators moved.

I just turned the boiler back on and I cannot get any hot water. What happens is this:

I turn the boiler on
You can hear it turning over & making sounds and all the lights come on.
The when I run the hot water after 20 seconds or so it cuts out.
The red light comes on and it shows the F.28 code

The builders are back in on Tuesday but I cannot wait until then for a shower!

Please help!

F28 means there is a problem the gas supply or ignition system, unfortunately the builders may have turned the gas off for a reason and nobody will advise you to turn it back on again in case there is a problem with the gas supply, looks like you may have to wait till tuesday.

Don't you have friends or neighbours you could shower with?

Or you could call a local gas registered engineer.

But why can you not just call the builders?

Can they speak proper English? Odd if they were leaving boiler turned off that they did not tell you and discuss it with you.

Didn't the later Turbomax have the pressure switch in series with gas valve bunny?

How do you know it's 2001 model?

Or you could always ring the number on the front. Just make sure you've got a few grand spare on your credit card

Hello steel,,, 2000-2001 had the crap black door springy catch that alwags break u can see it in the middle of the pic , after that they got rid of the catch and cut the plastic door so it fitted and caught on the bottom of the case .. I know im sad lol these early ones didnt have the switch in series with the gas valve, that was added to later ones maybe 2003 obwards
