I am trying to install a home burglar alarm and I need to fit some door/window contacts to the front/back doors and a couple of windows. All are uPVC. Is there anything special I need to door to screw the contacts to the frames? Do I need Rawlplugs or self-tapping screws for instance? The instruction manual is very brief and I'm not sure if the included screws are suitable.

Here's a picture of the included screws:

Drill a pilot hole and drive the screws in. They will hold in upvc with no problem.

2.5mm hole is good. Drill one hole first, then fit contact so you get the right spacing for the next one.
