Hi, have a container converted into a field shelter for my goats. Roof wearing thin in places, have been using bitumen paint, worked well! Son offers to put some roofing felt on - they type you have to heat, sweeps and digs about making small holes larger. Rust removal he said, now not enough felt to cover! Bring more next time - 2 weeks ago! Removed wood that I walked along too!:( Don't you just love it! Was busy when he did it and not aware or would have told him to stop!!!(n)

Rain forecast, have fine chicken type wire, bitumen paint, thick feed bags, ordinary roofing felt and some 8 X 4 sheets of wood. Have to drag everything onto roof via ladder! Suggestions please - will be very much appreciated! No neighbours around to help, restricted to one person job!

Can you get to a DIY store and get a tin of Brushing Felt Adhesive - use to stick patches of your roofing felt over the holes;) thicker than your bitumen paint which is too thin for that job

Hi Nigel, thanks, a brill idea! Have an old fashioned type store 6miles away, like the old iron mongers used to be, sells everything! Assistants were green overalls, coat type, can remember every nut, bolt, etc. ever made! Quite quaint! lol Found the bitumen paint worked well on small holes - so small you can hardly see them except when raining. When raining water comes through like Niagara fall!

Have dog kennel, a couple of rabbit hutches and duck house need patching, can have a field day. Delighted you mentioned Brushing Felt Adhesive, thank you very much!(y) Take care, kind regards!

P.S. Have often had to throw wellies when split. Now use Loctite Super Glue power Flex, GEL, mends a treat! Just something I was excited about and wanted to pass on! Takes all sorts!!
