i have a 207 sw sport 2008 under 12 mths waranty with the main dealers. i took it back and eventualy got the left hand cv joints replaced. after driving it back home over some cobbles, i noticed a noise like a front shocker gone. i took it back, an engineer came with me on a test and recognised the noise. it was on the ramps for an hour,no results. i was told to let it develope! it has got no worse but, i jacked up the car and found slight play in the wishbone rear joint. (pry bar test) should i report this? i am told by the sellers that my waranty covers the first MOT after sale to the value of, £750. does anyone have any idea what my prob may be? any advice is most welcome. this noise was not apparrent prior to the cv joints being done.

You may well be right, but that wishbone bush is quite a big one, so some floating can be expected. Look for the rubber splitting, but you'll only see this with the suspension on full droop.
Other likely areas are the drop links (stabilisers) which connect the anti roll bar to the front strut...they produce clunks big time when the ball joints wear. At the same time, do check for a broken spring.
Neither of these issues (apart from the spring) is a definite MOT failure, but best to get it sorted!
John :)
