How do you replace old bath sealastrip without removing tiles?

We need to replace the old silicon and sealstrip between the bath and the tiles on the wall.

Now the sealstrip has a tongue that goes behind the lower row of tiles. How can I remove the old sealastrip to replace it with a new one without damaging the tiles? I really don't want to damage the tiles! Can you anyone help me with some advice?

There's no way to remove the plastic stick-on strip without removing the tiles. You could cut the exposed lip of sealing strip, and cut out any silicone at the same time.

FWIW: Those sealing strips were an awful amateurish effort back in the day, and caused various difficulties. Dont use them - run a bead of silicone and replace it every now and then.

remove all the silicon you can, then fill your bath with water, then using a fein or bosh multi tool ( or an equivalent ) place the blade between the bottom of the tiles and the top edge of the bath, you will then be able to cut through you plastic trim and remove the horizontal piece, now put in new silicon, leave water in bath for a couple of hours, when silicon is fully cured, let water out of the bath, you should now have a clean and watertight joint

i repeat my suggestion that you use a knife to cut the strip - one false move with a power tool and the tile or the tub will be damaged, possibly both.
Perhaps, given your user name, its doubtful that you are competent with multi-tools or possess one.
