I am finding that, just when I click the 'Post reply' button on this forum, along with some other sites, the page jumps up as if to avoid my clicking the button. Perhaps it doesn't like what I'm about to say! A similar thing happens with the Bookmarks sidebar.

I am using the latest version of Firefox and have AdBlock Plus installed. Could this be causing the problem?

i am on firefox and add blocker plus and windows 10 no probs here at all

Thanks BA. Sorry, I should have mentioned that I'm on Windows 7.

Just done it again! Clicked on 'post' and it jumped up just in time to avoid the button working. It's as if some gremlins are playing tricks!

is your firefox up to date as mines wasnt and today when i updated adblock stopped working
reinstalled addblock and it all worked fine

Yes, Firefox latest version, as is Adblock.

Thanks again.
I've just checked both again and they're both up to date/no updates available.

well i am afraid my shrivelled walnut off a brain has nothing more to addo_O

Do you use a mouse, if so what type of connection?

If possible try a different one preferably with wired connection.

At a guess the page is taking longer than usual to refresh, have you cleaned cache cookies etc?
Try a speed checker on your modem connection, often switching off your modem at the wall for a few minutes allows it to speed up performance.
I know how frustrating it is when I have suffered I have often clicked on a search result I did not want by mistake.

Thanks. I'll try that if I can find one of our old mice/mouses!

Good idea. I've cleared the cache. Let's see if that helps.

No, it didn't. :(
I still think it might be something to do with AdBlock. Perhaps when it realises there's no advert at the top it thinks, 'Right, I'll jump up just when he presses 'post', just to teach him a lesson".

Well tell the Mrs then when she sees you looking at.

You can say but it jumped just as I was looking for a new drill.

Thanks very much. Watched it.
Mind you, she won't get a very straight hole dancing about like that whilst drilling!
