Hello. The house I moved into has a 'disability' style wet room - eg, functional and ugly! A lot like this photo: http://www.apollodesign.uk.com/Tiles/Lil4.jpg. Looking for ideas on how to improve it.
I could get the bathroom gutted and refitted nicely with a bath (expensive), or I could just make it look better by doing something about the floors first, then maybe walls, and lighting.
I was wondering if it's ok to just lay vinyl flooring (sheets or tiles) over the existing flooring. Thus retaining the true waterproof flooring. I'd have to seal around the edges and around the drain. Are there any problems to look out for doing this? I may replace the 'disabled' height toilet at the same point.
Cheers
