I have this drill and the end will not undo to change the bit. the drill works perfectly both directions, the clutch is fine, but I just cannot undo it, it's as if it's done up too tight, and will not break free.

Any ideas, take it apart? Is it repairable?

Try putting the drill in reverse, gripping the chuck hard and switching on......works for shovelhands here!
John :)

There's barely 2mm of the chuck proud of the end as it;s got a large bit in but I'll give it a go.

try tapping the chuck with a hammer, and if that does not work remove the bolt inside remove the chuck and install a new one. (swapped mine our for a dewalt one from screwfix) did try and free the old one with some big blows with the hammer but was still stick solid.

This isn't an SDS we're talking about is it? Just pull back on the sleeve and remove the bit, if that's the case.

Good point. That hadn't crossed my mind, I have to admit!

as you might expect i have this drill
assuming its the automatic gear change
my suggestion is wd 40 or 3in1 syle machine oil
leave for at least 60 mins then try both to tighten and loosen several time
