Hi all,
would be grateful for any help on the following. My daughter has just moved to another house with existing intruder alarm, my questions are as follows.
1) no door contact just a hall pir facing door designated zone 1, I can set the alarm for exit but the pir detects the movement when leaving so alarm goes off.
2) Because of the above am unable to do part set for going to bed.
I would appreciate if anyone could give me a step by step procedure for for correct programming. At this point don't want to start trying any alteration until i get some advice (i hope) all other zones working ok. sorry about the long post guys.

Thanks in Advance Tegs

PS fofgot to mention alarm is accenta g4

zone 1 is usually e/e and the exit is set to timed so the system would set and the pir would make no difference on exit.

You will need the engineers code to program the panel do you have that?

Turn the alarm on, go out the front door and wait, bet the alarm sets. (Same with going to bed)

It would be normal for the detector to 'pick you up' when leaving or retiring.

Nothing wrong.

Try it.

thanks for the reply guys just reading manual do i need to leave zone 1 as inhibited or uninhibited yes i know the engineers code. Sorry guys i should have said the alarm does go off before leaving not just detecting the movement.

the way I read this thread is that zone 1 isn't set to e/e hence why its not behaving correctly.

if it was set to e/e and its on a timed exit the alarm should set as everyone is pointing out.

When a zone is active during the setting procedure, the alarm wont set, hence why they are say leave the building and does it set.

zone one needs to be entry exit if that's the one you are leaving the house by.

secureiam, thanks for your help all working correctly now, daughter can sleep in peace!!!
