Hiya guys, our Laminate needs replacing, it's in a long hallway, laid on cement floor. Floor is in great condition.

We went to our local carpet store to buy some Laminate with fitting etc, but was told people are using Vinyl now, wood effect Vinyl, when asked he said it's a lot more durable and is protected against water. He showed us some Rhino Vinyl, then showed us a more expensive product (only slightly more money) saying it was even more durable.

There's no doubt the wood effect Vinyl is nice, he said it would be glued down for life basically when installed.

Is this a better option for a busy Hallway with 4 kids? Pram etc? Or should I disregard and still get Laminate. We are not on a mega budget, looking at about £300 budget with fitting. Is Vinyl the way?

Laminate is cheaper as not as much if any prep.
Vinyl sheet if that's what he's saying toy will need the floor screeding with a smoothing compound.
Also LVT will need prep and will cost more but will last 20-30 years.
