underfloor heating and RCD

I agree with Iggifer. In the old MK boards (IIRC) you have to completely take out the whole busbar to move release the MCB, then you'd need to do the same on the otehr side
Yea and I seem to remember the busbar isn't one full cuttable length, it's all little short lengths with threaded holes to screw new bits too. (It's definitely like that out of the RCD/Main Switch) I'm sure it was the dogs danglies at the time, just seems over complicated now.

hi all, thank for your help so far.

i think its on the RCD now. i found the circuit the bath room is on by elimination. see pictures. the switch to the far left with 40A, turns off the electric shower and panel for the under floor heating.

i thinks that puts it on the RCD?

please see pictures and let me know what you think and once again thanks .

It does now seem you have RCD protection. It also seems from what you say there is a local fused connection unit (FCU) near the bathroom. Taylortwocities says it comes with an earth braid seems I looked on wrong section of the website. So it would seem it’s OK and nothing need be done.

Personally I would not take under floor heating from the same MCB as the shower even if there is a FCU. I would assume both on together so you have 9.2 kW between the two. With a 8.5 kW shower clearly enough power for underfloor heating and worst case the trip opens but I consider dedicated means it supplies one item not two.
