Hi all,

I realise that I'm asking a question on an ageing and defunct system, bit I've it Installed in my property and its working well.

It's maintained annually by a security company and up until a few years ago I was able to set the alarm via a remote keypad , leave the premises and then I could return and unset it 30 secs later and the system would be disarmed.

Now, it seems that the sensor in the entry/exit zone (once alarmed)/goes to sleep for 3 mins (standard for the 520r sensor) so now have to wait at least 4 mins before reentering the premises to unset the system (or walk to another sensor where it will activate the alarm)

How can I get the system back to its original state were I could set /unset the alarm in a short space of time?

Thanks.

Ethan.

You don't have to trip the entry circuit to turn off, you could stand at the panel and turn on/off all day if you wished.

On is On, Off is Off, get the idea.

@Europlex

The main panel is situated in a different part of the premises, the main entry / exit is covered by a 520r sensor and I have a 525r keypad close by so that when I enter the premises the 520r picks me up and it signals that movement has been detected , i then enter my code to disarm the system.

On leaving, the 520r sees me, I set the alarm and then the 520r goes to sleep for 3 mins (as it's designed to do).

It's this three mins of sleep that prevents me from re-entering as the 520r doesn't pick me up and detects movement.

During this time the 525r csnt send a signal to the main unit - it only seems to be able to disarm the system if movement has been detected.

And yes, I've tested it - the main control unit can set/unset all day long no matter what the time delay ( as you pointed out).

It seems the 525r can only send a disarm signal if movement has been detected (but none will be as the 520r is sleeping)

I'm 99% sure I was able to arm/disarm freely before, now I can't!

Cheers for that mate, I have that document but must have overlooked that bit. Appreciate the help and for pointing me in the right direction. Will get this changed and let you know how I get on.
