Peugeot 206 rear fog light always on.

Hi, it is a 206 1.1 from 2005.

Today, without having used the fog lights, I found the rear one to be jammed on, after making a short journey I also found the off side tail light to be jammed on. This happens even when the ignition is turned off, the car locked, etc, no matter what position the switches on the ignition are on.

Do you guys have any suggestion as to what the problem would be here? Can I do anything to fix it? Will the battery drain overnight?

Do check each rear bulb, to ascertain it is the correct one......for example, a twin filament bulb inserted into a single filament socket will give all sorts of issues!

Thanks for the quick reply! I haven't changed any of the rear bulbs in several months but I will investigate further. Is there anything else that could be causing these gremlins?

Corrosion gremlins in the lamp clusters, front and back but mainly the back.
Also check for normal operation of all lamps, and unusual things like the fuel gauge playing up.....sounds nonsensical, I know!

Sorry, allow me to be a little more specific.....it's the earthing of the lamp clusters to the bodyshell which are the likely culprit.
