Hi All
Been looking at these for some tiling jobs at home. I have a big (BIG) problem with batons and really need something like this to be able to do they job.
However, looking at it (http://www.screwfix.com/p/vitrex-suretile-tiletracker-speed-wall-tiling-batten-set-2-25m/16963) it has a lip on the back which i dont quite understand. When i put the adhesive on the wall (above the lip) surely the bottom part of the tile will end up with no adhesive on it. Anyone ever used or seen one of these? I can see that the lip is great for 'out' walls (which mine are) but a bit concerned about how the adhesive will get on the bottom of the tile.

Possibly intended to provide you something to line your adhesive to in case your wall is in and out wibblywobbly? Videos on youtube show large tiles being put on a wall, obscuring the lip then the tracker being removed downwards so yep, the lip does do behind the tile and maybe a small percentage of the back of the tile is not adhered.. if it bothers you you could use a scraper and press some adhesive up there afterwards. I don't think the tile's going to fall off the wall as a result of not adhering this small part though.

If it really bothers you, take a grinder to it and cut it off, or turn the tracker upside down..

I mailed the makers direct and just had a reply, the lip is 10mm and they are basically saying that this will be filled in with grouting etc. I was just curious to make sure that this was the case :)
