A part under my sink replaced as it came apparat. It got replaced by a new part and it has now stopped leaking. Along the bottom pipe not the bit that was leaking there is a dripping sound like a leak but it's not wet but the pipe runs out under foam bits under the bath. The drains are a tad blocked up so I was going use some drain cleaner anyway. Could the sound be inside the pipe or is that not possible?

It doesn't do it all the time though someone on another forum said another pipe could have came lose? The bath panel is joined into the toilet and has foam underneath so there's little space to see.

Leaking sound?

Sounds like a leak to me.

I struggled to read the above post. If you could form it into something legible then we could possibly help.

Details. What was changed, why, when. what can you see, pictures? Give us a chance.

There was a leak as the pipe came apparently so the joining part under the sink was replaced. It was replaced upside down so still leaked a tiny bit of water. Only since it was turned the correct way round has there been a leaking sound. Nobody can see any water though.

The bath pannel is sealed in along with the toilet when I moved into the property so it would be awkward to remove.

The sound is coming from the waste pipe that runs under the sink unit and along under the bath with loads of expanding foam. It sounds like the edge of the bath but the pipe going under to the bath is totally dry.

I can maybe upload a video or picture which may help.

Pictures would be a great help! Really struggling to picture what you are on about.

If the waste is making a sound but no taps are running can you check inside the toilet bowl and see if you see any trickling water. May be an internal overflow on the WC. Other than that if there is nothing else running or connected to that waste then its not that.

What was the joining part that was replaced? A valve? A coupler? A Flexible connection? TMV? Check valve? PRV?

As said check the WC first and then post as many pics as possible as they would be a better description than you may be able to give.

Ok I shall post some pictures tomorrow. Might also be worth adding when the tap is on when the shower runs there's no dripping sound. I've had issues with the water coming up the bath plug from the waste as its needing some sink and drain unblocker so perhaps that's not helping the issue.

It was the coupler which was replaced. It a fairly new bathroom suite which was install when I moved in probably no more than about 2 years ago. The pipe runs along connecting the sink right under the bath can't see any more due to the expanding foam covering it all.

Ok from that it sounds more like a drainage problem than a leak. Pics again would help as we can work out the layout of your waste hopefully but I would blindly guess at a blockage of some sort in the waste, or a poor waste run. What are you using when the waste in the bath comes back up?

Take traps off and clean first and then go from there. If bath comes up i would be looking down stream from there for a blockage. How well does the bath drain?

The water comes up when the sink tap runs when the shower is on so doesn't seem to handle too much water. I had the same problem in my old property and would regularly have to put sink and drain unblocker down. That said I had the blockage before the noise started. The bath drains fine as does the sink when the shower isn't running.

Perhaps fixing the pipe had an effect on it I've just not had time to put any unblocker down the sinks. I believe the waste pipe has some sort of over flow which is outside just need the bathroom window.

Firstly stop putting mixtures of unblockers down the drains. Secondly tell anyone that works on it what you have put down as they can have some very volatile effects when mixed. People have died from the fumes before!!!!!

Get it properly checked as I'm sure it's a simple unblock to clear it.

If you are within 15 mile of PE25 I'd come out on that on a fixed fee just for fun as I know it would be cleared in less than 20 minutes or do it for free!!!

You've now wasted over a week, spent whatever you have on chemicals with their special claims and you are still no further forward!

Get someone in, pay them and have it done properly!

I'll reiterate what I said before.

When you do tell them exactly what you have put down the drains, chemical wise, you now have a duty of care to ensure that they know what is or possibly could be in there.

I've put nothing down the drains I said I did in my old property not this one.

Jesus!! looking at the pics it's an abortion. Get a guy out to sort it and make it all good.

On a side note pest control can get rid of that hornets nest you have under the bath!!!

Did someone forget to take the finger off the trigger when applying expanding foam! Another 10 seconds and that stuff would be lifting the bath for you.

Pay cheap pay twice. Get it sorted properly.

That makes me think you have put stuff down there.

What nest I can't see any?

This was the set up when I moved in and I had the repair done no further on on knowing what the noise is looks like I will have to call someone
