Hi everyone, I am going to have ago a building a wooden home bar.
I know it's basically a large box with one side missing, but can anyone give me any tips to make this strong but not to heavy?

Well, I suppose because of the location we might have to move it on the odd ocassion.
But I guess I can always get my son to do that . I was thinking of 2x2 in each corner then MDF it's going to be around 5ft long so don't want it to bow in the middle. Thanks.

I guess a 2x2" frame clad with 1/2" MDF should be fine - with a heavier duty top to prevent bowing in the middle.

18mm mdf , no frame required, you will need internal shelving for a bar, so should not be any long section of unsupported top. Stick it on wheels if you need to move it.

Thanks for the advice
