Fair price to board & skim chimney breast?

Basically the face & the sides will be boarded & skimmed.

There is a double socket on the right of the chimney breast (i'm just trying to give full picture of job involved).

Skirting will be going on both left & right (35cm) ... but this skirting has already been paid for & is already here.

The recess (where the fire will be) is also to be boarded but this is with fire board ... and this will also already be supplied & paid for, so not in with the quote.


What would be a fair price range for that job?

Well for anyone who may stumble across this thread i'll help others....

I was able to speak in person with a few builders & plasterers. I gave them the image above with the measurements, told them exactly what needed doing, showed them photos of the job.

The base price was £170 ("as a minimum") and this ranged up to about £250.
The general was £200-£220.

For anyone interested the reason i asked was because i was quoted almost double that.
