Hi all, had a very leaky roof for some time but now it's been replaced, leaving rooms very damp. My question is I have a dehumidifier which I am now using but what is the right way to use it, do I do one room at a time with heating on, or use it with the window open, or both window and heating. Your help in this matter would be greatly appreciated, thanks for your time!!

I would have thought you leave the windows closed, otherwise the dehumidifier will be sucking water out of the air coming from outside the house!

Leave windows and doors open - free, but will take months and depends on the weather.

Otherwise:
Close all exterior doors and windows. Open all interior doors.
Heating on full.
Get one or more dehumidifiers. You need the industrial type which has a drain hose attached, as many litres of water will be removed every day.
Get several portable electric fans to ensure air is circulated throughout the entire building.
Leave all of these items running 24/7 until the building is suitably dry.

Dehumidifiers and fans can be hired. As can portable heaters if the building doesn't have any.
