Just after a quick bit of advice please. I've had my house rewired, and all of the cabling from the fuse box has come up through on the other side of the wall. I now need to fill that area. Should I just put an inspection hatch in, which will allow access to the wires or should I just fill it by using hardwall and then skim? I'm going to be reskimming the whole wall anyway. I guess I'm just worried that it'll damage the wires.

Ps, I'm not actually a sparky, it's just my nickname. Need to say this before someone has a pop at me like last time.

You really should put some metal conduit over them before you plaster them in.

Unless there's a socket or switch or something vertically below those cables (or horizontally in line with them) then they're not in a safe zone (it looks as if they exceed the 150mm below ceiling zone) and thus will not comply with wiring regs. You need to have a word with whoever installed the cabling to determine how THEY are going to ensure that the installation complies. If you have done the job yourself then either put a socket somewhere below the cables or put an inspection panel over them (one of the cheapies from Screwfix will do)- not that you'll ever need to inspect the cables, it'll warn anyone working on the place that there may be Things to be Avoided in the area.
