I know I am going to get ripped for having such an old Boiler ,but it has been working well apart from a top of water Occasinally ,Last week there was a burning smell and the Main house fusebox tripped on that circuit ,I didnt realise it was the Boiler, on resetting ,everything came back on ,including the Boiler(on Standy/showng demand but not working otherwise) which I then realised the smell was coming From ,anyway upon inspection after turning off, I found that one of the pin?connectors on the Full Sequence board had Melted ,I bought replacement and a replacement Mother board as Pin and that board were Damaged Also ,after replacing, the system is still showing Demand, and not working other than that ,the New Mother Board 407685 has
ISS 3 after that number, the Board I took out has ISS 4 is there a Difference in the two boards ?
Any help Greatly Appreciated I am freezing ,I will Deffo replace the boiler in the Summer ,Sadly
at the Moments Funds will not allow this :(

The Pin on the FCB that seems to have Caused the Problem Was F1 , I can find no other damage or Burning
to wires ,I have checked the Fan its spins Freely and no sign of Burning ...

I myself will only work on Wiring or Components that are NON Gas or Water supplied ,It was serviced (cleaned by a bloke Last year who seemed to know less than I did About the Boiler )

Sorry Just to ADD I have checked F1 and F2 fuses ,I believe they are the only 2 fuses ?

I have a lot of the motherboards but thought there were no longer any of the boilers left in use.

Must sell them on Ebay or something!

Your eBay board may be faulty unfortunately, it's not the best place to buy spares!

Used to repair these four or five a day, most have bean 25 years ago, most problems were dry joints more often then not on the sequence board, surprised that there are any still about.
