Hi, as per title what sort of price should I be expecting to pay a good tiler to lay tiles on a concrete level floor per sq mtr? Labour only in the Essex Herts area.
Thanks

All comes down to the size of the area, size of tile, tile type...... but for a GOOD professional tiler in that area, expect to pay around £25-£40 sqm for small jobs. If you are looking at an area of 20 sqm upwards, they may charge by the day, approx £150-£200 per day.

You really need to get some quotes. aim for three. Don't just go for the cheapest. Ask them if you can see any of their work (a good tiler will happily show you a booklet of previous work or even go as far as arranging with a previous customer to view their work). Ask what work will be involved and whoever gives you the most informative detail of what's required, he's/she's your man/woman.

Hope this helps.

Try & get a recommendation.
The floor in my house had been tiled with tiles that were slippery when wet.
I had a tiller come look at the job, first thing he said was that there was a dip in the floor.
Anyway he gave me a price I was happy with. When it came to payment time he took £100 off, saying it was easier than he thought it would be.
What an honest bloke & THE JOB IS BRILLIANT. He had been recommended by a mate.
