Hi - I have installed a Pyronix Homecontrol+ with LAN card, and set the App and Network to poll the Pyronix Cloud. The Diagnostics are showing the correct Gateway and it has a valid IP address, so it is at least connect to the router. However, it also says that it has Never polled the cloud, as if it hasn't tried...

When I go to pyronixcloud.com and try to register the system, all I get is the error message "Unable to Register System".

Has anyone got any suggestions?

thanks

Hi, I'm a security installer and I've just had the same issue.

I've just spoken to Pyronix and if your software version is V02.01 ( see software revision in engineering mode) you need to call sales and get them to send you out a new panel with the latest software as it's a known bug.

Pyronix support by email has been very good, but so far no mention of a known bug. I can show that my PC can ping their servers, so I have just responsed to say that I think the problem is in the panel. Let's see what theynsay next.

many thanks

Just an update for anyone following this - Pyronix sent out a new panel very quickly with software revision 2.01a installed, but it still didn't work first time. It turns out the panel needs to be power cycled to get the polling to kick in, following which it connected first time. Got there at last.

Now I'm trying to get over the shock of their annual subscription... is it just me or didn't they make it clear that there is a £36 annual fee for the app access??

regards

TT

..... it's free, didn't they tell you? Come on 69p per week, get a full commercial connection to an ARC and see what that would cost.

Fair enough on the price, but that's not the point - where does it say that the service is only for one year?

I've just looked into the monthly fee, it says after a years free trial it is then £6.00 a month! Didn't get told that before I installed it! Customers not guna be happy!

Two different figures appeared when I checked it online - £36p.a. and £72p.a.

try refreshing the page or logging again, perhaps the cheaper one will appear!

hello, how did you find using the app on your mobile phone? is there anyway of getting the app to get your attention when your phone is set to silent? also, can it send you email alerts?

im seeing if i should upgrade.

Pyronix charge end user £36 per annum for subsequent years and first year is free, `you can shop around and find prices from £24 per annum as part of an offer from some installers.

I suspect you will find the prices in general will be above £36 from most installers.

You need to look at your phone settings on how it handles the app/ notifications, like auto wake and sounds for notifications and do not disturb options

thanks, mine quoated me 36 a year, but on iphone there is no way for do that to set a specific vibration or aert for a specific app notification. i think i may decide to stay with the pstn for this very reason as i have set the number as a contact and it has a unique vibration so i knows its important.

do u know if the homekit app or the digi wifi could aleast send out an email alert which i would be able to do that with?

None of the modules do email i'm afraid. I know on android you can set the app to override do not disturb not sure about iphone though.

yeah, no way to do it on iphone unfortunately. i will have to stay with the pstn. what are the main benefits of the app apart from being able to set and unset the alarm?
