Laminate flooring

hi

I've got quite a bit of laminate flooring underlay and several packs of loft boards. My loft is already boarded can I put the underlay down and then more boards on top? Will this help with insulation or have no affect at all.

Adding any material to cover the floor, will improve the heat loss of the rooms below.
So yes it would, but only a wee bit.

wouldn't have thought it would be enough to be worth the effort or costs of more boarding though.

I agree have decided after further research to use Celotex instead and board over that. Any idea on how thick the top board would need to be so the Celotex doesn't crack when walked on?
