Thanks for the replies.
Has anyone got any tips when it comes to doing this job, I've already read the sticky thread and watched every video on YouTube, but any first hand tips would be great!.
I'm going to buy a couple of large mixing buckets, have a mate help mix and me lay the screed. I'll buy a large flooring trowl to help spread and also a spiked roller. Is there anything else I'm missing?
1. Uplift tiles and previous slc I poored
2. Remove flaky bits of bitumen
3. Sweep and hoover floor
4. Mist spray with water any bare sandy patches to slow down absorbtion and reduce pinholing.
5. Poor screed toweling into corners and slightly under my kitchen cabinets
6. Use spiked roller to get a uniform 3mm level.
7. Either add dpm1c if vinyl or moisture barrier underlay for laminate
8. If adding dpm add another layer of slc.
Just to add I'm going to leave the tiles down in the utility as this room is about 5mm lower than kitchen and the tiles are different, I still think they are marley tiles however they look newer and are perfectly solid with no cracks. Leaving these and removing kitchen tiles should allow the levels to meet with maybe some additional slc in the utility.
Thanks
