What hasn't really been pointed out about the relay is, it's not a good idea to use a standard relay without a diode on the control panels output. Due to back emf the coil produces when switched off. You can get around this by putting a diode backwards across the coil.

It sounds like you are not correctly testing the bell output. With your meter connected to 12v and bell trigger, In day mode press 4 then "enter" then your code. This should test the bell output. All you are doing is creating an internal tamper. Which 9448 is it? Can you describe it.

Agreed. Hager, that relay is not that difficult to wire. Really if you have no clue then just leave it! Learning how to wire relays that use 240v is not a good idea!
