Lock security - Euro and Cylinder

Hmm not sure. I think it might make it more difficult but never tried it. Fitting blank handles might make billy choose an easier target.

Lock security - Euro and Cylinder

I think there is more of a chance getting the cylinder snapped than bumped.

    Front door locks

How much do you want to spend and are you able to adjust the door? I don't see the point in fitting a Mul-T-Lock to a standard Yale nightlatch. Standard nightlatchs are just to stop the wind opening the door. Change your nightlatch to a British Standard one. Like the Yale PBS1/2 or Union...

12v switched sorce for scanny 9448?

What hasn't really been pointed out about the relay is, it's not a good idea to use a standard relay without a diode on the control panels output. Due to back emf the coil produces when switched off. You can get around this by putting a diode backwards across the coil.

12v switched sorce for scanny 9448?

It sounds like you are not correctly testing the bell output. With your meter connected to 12v and bell trigger, In day mode press 4 then "enter" then your code. This should test the bell output. All you are doing is creating an internal tamper. Which 9448 is it? Can you describe it.

Messing with the telephone = !?"?!"?£$

Bring the original bt cable back in where it use to be and refit the master socket. If you have a problem and an engineer comes out you could be in for a big bill! Or I think they can cut you off. If you can you will be better running the cable to the new extension indoors. You can buy...

    Scantronic 9450 Home Alarm

It sounds like its soldered directly onto the circuit board. You will be better just fitting a new bellbox.

    new alarm required in Lanarkshire

I agree, Its figuring how/where to run the cables and how to hide them when you need to. That takes years of experience. That’s one reason why you might get someone in. Programming can be tricky or very difficult if you don't read the manual properly and understand it. Also if you don't...

    new alarm required in Lanarkshire

You seem to easily recommend people to diy alarm install. What happens if they get problems? Are you going to be able to help them? I bet you will end up leaving it to the pro's. Are you going to be around at 3 in the morning to help them out because there external sab has gone off? Since you...

    Relay wiring prob

Agreed. Hager, that relay is not that difficult to wire. Really if you have no clue then just leave it! Learning how to wire relays that use 240v is not a good idea!
