    For some reason, geberit grey seals blister, but the newer clear ones dont. Go for the fluidmaster one as previous post.

    I use a crossman ratcatcher which is co2 cartridge. 22, scoped and silenced, pellets through the same hole at 25 yards. Not too expensive and nice and light.

    If there is no cap on the tap head at all, the head must be a push fit. Yes they can be tight but you can use a couple of blunt levers (butter knives?) to pop the head off. Bristan do inserts but if you cannot find them try lunns.

    I f it was a tap or toilet valve I would expect to hear a moaning or shuddering.as the previous post said, turn on any hot tap until the noise is heard. Check all other taps while it's doing it. If you see any other hot tap dripping or dribbling there is your culprit. If none others drip its...

    Bath leak help

    Might be splined, might just be a flat on a round shaft. Sometimes these seize on quite solidly. If you are lucky it will pop off with a bit of prying and a forceful wiggle. Otherwise it's cut it off and fit a replacement waste/ overflow kit.

    got a strange problem with a potterton promax combi 28he plus boiler. even on hot water only, when running the hot water there is a banging noise from the boiler, and a corresponding needle movement on the pressure gauge. love to know what this is- can anyone point me in the right direction? cheers.

    fire hoods?

    am fitting a suspended plasterboard ceiling for a customer and would like to know if they should need fire hoods for their new downlighters? original ceiling is plasterboard and staying, nothing above but a flat roof. would like to advise them correctly (and know for myself for the future).

    can anyone suggest a decent suspended ceiling that can take the weight of plasterboard? have a customer who doesn't want tiles, just a flat ceiling and downlighters. at the moment it's a high flat roof on a kitchen so has crappy angle lights on a rail.
