    HOLES IN CEILING

As plasterers, do you generally mind if spotlight holes have been cut into a new ceiling and lights left dangling before you plaster it? Or even just the holes cut if wires are left tucked up inside ready for lights?

    EXTENDING CABLE

It looks like it goes down or possibly across to the other light which is operated by a switch even further along. I think it is on a socket circuit. I popped a plug in the kitchen once and it shorted everything in the conservatory. It's ground floor in a conservatory which backs onto the...

    CABLE FOR SPOTLIGHTS

I want to install 4 spotlights (IP65 rated) in my bathroom. They have the piano key connectors. Is 1mm cable sufficient or should l use 1.5mm? I've read 1.5mm can be a bit tight in these terminals.

    PIR INSULATION

I am fitting PIR insulation between ceiling joists. My question is should the face be flush with the joists so the plasterboard is touching it or do l need to leave a gap between the pir and plasterboard?

    Spotlights with insulation

I want to put spotlights into a new ceiling that will be insulated with celotex type foil backed insulation. What is the best way to allow a safe space around the lights without compromising the insulation? Thank you

    SLANTED JOISTS
