    Push fit connectors

Thanks. So it’s the raised brass part that needs pushing down. (Close to the pipe) I tried a 17 and 15mm spanner but ended up using a screwdriver. The 15mm spanner wasn’t the best idea.

    Push fit connectors

Used a hand air pump to push air and water through. I had already tried. X400 They also tried rodding it, but I suspect they were doing the wrong pipe.

    Push fit connectors

My plumber was unable to unblock my radiator pipes. So I have had to take the floor up. How do I remove the copper pipe from this fitting please? Connector probably from 2003. It spins around. Thought I would ask first. How do I release these?

    Consumer unit in garage

They aren’t really required. It’s good that the light has a suitable fuse if wiring thin. Is the supply to garage protected by RCD ?

Is a main switch needed on a sub board?

For a cooker, I would want to be able to isolate the neutral to allow things upstream to still work on an element failure.

    Installing RCBO Query

Should they trip when a particular light is turned on, the op can put both circuits into the same rcbo, while they consider the best way forward

    Installing RCBO Query

Your original idea it fine. Change the lights to 6A rcbos. Minimal work for a diyer. Cost effective. I don’t think we would want a diyer replacing an RCD or messing around with the whole board.

    Installing RCBO Query

I would say there is room. Sometimes you have a mass of cables coming across you can’t move. Personally I would go for 2 6A to ensure your lights will stay on as much as possible. When I did mine I added a 32A rcbo (eg for downstairs sockets). I thought about suggesting it, but concluded the...
