    Asbestos in loft?

To you experienced builders does this look like asbestos sheet to you? Unearthed after moving some fibreglass insulation out of the way. Wondering why it would have been used in this way if it is asbestos.

Keeping boiler return temp lower as TRV’s close down

As in the title - it seems that as TRV heads close down radiators there is less heat transfer available from the boiler cooling water to the house rooms. This in turn leads to a rise in boiler return temperature which ultimately goes above 55 degrees even when the initial delta T upon system...

    Noisy lock shield valve (video)

Any ideas why my systems first radiator LSV creates this noise when it's opened between 1/8 & 1/2 of a turn? I need to have it turned down this low to prevent it taking all the flow from the rest of the system but it starts making this noise. More than half a turn open and it stops.

Hi folks, The hot water cylinder in my house is an indirect copper cylinder which was installed in 1979. It's in good order and has plenty of after market insulation on it. I am just wondering if you knowledgable plumbers think swapping to a new L1b compliant cylinder would have any drastic...

    Nasty cheapo transformer

Anybody come across one of these "Franco Transfo" transformers before? Horrible nasty thing to say the least. Had to install some extra insulation on the secondary winding connections today (other side of transformer to the picture) as they were deemed to be unsafe by western power. The way...

    Found this at home today!

I've removed an electric car charging point from inside our garage today. However, this is what greeted me...
