At the moment makers details are irrelevant. All I'm interested in is if the standards mention heat shields for fan flued room sealed boilers specifically. The latest BS would be good. Natural draught are mentioned specifically but not FF?

Sorry to go on, but another question. If its not in the standards (i can't find it) why isn't it?

So you'd class as 'not to MIs' instead of 'ntcs'? Or just leave it and not say anything to the customer and then get picked up at your next check?. I understand that MIs overrule BS (unless it was fitted b4 the last BS).

So, if MIs states its needs a heatshield and it doesn't have one would you note that its 'not to the current standards' even though the standards dosen't mention it? Confusing eh?

Thanks for taking the time to reply but I found the problem. Theres a small rubber hose about 4 inches long leading from the sump. It was completely blocked. Cleaned it out and all running well!

No. Just fills then empties.

Model is DWF 64SSE. Only has 4 lights and the 2 on the left hand side of the four are lit. The 4 lights are on the right hand side of the appliance.

Got an 8 year old smeg dishwasher. All of a sudden its started to fill and then just empties itself. Does this 3 times then stops. Only 2 of the display lights are then lit. They don't flash as in a fault code. Any ideas? Tried the smeg website but no joy.

Had the same problem this week with a Modena. This one had the indicator lights on the left hand side though. Turned out to be the ignition PCB. 2 versions of this boiler though, 1 had 1 PCB and the other had 2. Mine had 2. Hot water worked fine, heating would fire up occasionaly but when it...
