    Removing wall understairs.

Oh. just to be clear. Its only the beam I've drawn red that i want to remove. The 2 yellow joists will be left in (supported by the 2 brick walls drawn blue).

    Removing wall understairs.

Hi everybody. Just after a little confirmation, before i knock a wall down and my house collapses.. I'm planning on knocking the wall between my understairs cupboard and dining room, to relocate the kitchen door. The wall is lath and plaster (3" x 3" timber studs), i just want to make...

    Tee shaped worktop joint.

Looking for some advice from you experienced lot. I'm in the planning stages of my kitchen layout. I'd like a T shape in the worktop, to maximise the use of space. I just can't decide on how i'd join it. Obviously, the corner can be done using a standard joint with a jig. But this won't...

    Bathroom Swap

I work for a large firm for my "apprenticeship". Then I work evenings and weekends with a plumber from the same firm. The plumber who i work with on evenings and weekends would be more than willing to help out if i was to have any questions. Also, the tiling/decorating will be done by the...

    Patch up

It could make it worse if you've strangled the olive. So the other option is to either drain down and wrap a few turns of thread tape on the olive. Or do it live with a towel down... Get someone to hold the pipe tight to the valve, then put some tape on. You'll get wet though :P If it's...

    Bathroom Swap

Thanks. 8) It's not the first job I've done alone. I've done daft little ones and fitted a salamander shower pump and stuff - Which I just charged hourly rate. With this being a price job, i was unsure of what to charge. Hense why i was asking for some advice. :)

    Bathroom Swap

Apprentices don't only learn at college... It's day release, meaning 1 day a week at college, then the rest of the week on the job "gaining experience". Which as I've said, have been doing for over 2 and a half years!

    Bathroom Swap

That's a bit harsh, is it not? I've been plumbing for over 2 and a half years and passed my level 2. Surely this is enough to do a like for like swap. :!: Fair enough, i won't have anywhere near as much experience as someone who's been doing it all there life (which is why I'm asking...

    Bathroom Swap

I was thinking one day around the £250 mark. Does that sound reasonable? Thanks for a proper reply to this thread.

    Bathroom Swap

Hi All. I'm a level 3 plumbing apprentice, and have been asked to do a like for like on a bathroom (toilet, bath, basin in existing locations) How much should I charge (not including the price of sanitary ware, taps and wastes) Thanks in advance.
