Help required! DSC/British Gas alarm trouble problem

Try 5555 or 5550 as the engineer code - or the model number of your panel. 1. Do a walk test and get someone to write the zones down 2. Sorry - No idea

Help required! DSC/British Gas alarm trouble problem

Sorry, by reset the keypad, I meant entering your 4 digit code. I shouldn't think you will need to reset the clock, but if it does display as a trouble then unfortunately you will have to do it. I don't know anything about pressing the * and holding down the 4 key. What is that supposed to do ?

Help required! DSC/British Gas alarm trouble problem

My only suggestion is to get one set of spare batteries (good idea to always have them anyway) and go around each detector to temporarily replace the batteries. Try resetting the keypad after each replacement until you find the offending PIR

    Connecting bellbox to Galaxy G2-20

OK - the first 4 are the important ones... I'm not familier with the G2-20, so I will use generic terminology which hopefully will help... 1. Connect to a permanent negative (Ov) in your panel 2. Connect to a permanent positive (12v) in your panel 3. Link inside the bellbox to terminal 1...

    Adding a PIR

More likely than not it's a case of running a cable from your panel to the PIR and connecting the wires. Inside the panel and PIR, you can generally copy what the installer has done. Why not have a look and then decide if you are confident enough to do the job ?

    Moving PIR's?

    Correct.

    C&K Securitech CO23-203

A lot of people panic when the alarm is going off and enter the wrong code. Next time you try - enter your code slowly and carefully to find out if it works. If you did not also disconnect the backup battery in your panel, it sounds like you have flattened it and you will need a new one. If...

accenta g4 panel with reson8 bell box

Wiring looks OK. I don't know the reson8 - is there a shorting pin you need to put in place to enable the SAB ? ....or do you need to link two terminals within the bell box ? Make sure there is 12v between off- and off+ at the bell box. Make sure that there is 12v between D & B at the...

    Moving PIR's?

Open the panel lid and enter your code when the internal sounder goes off. If the wiring is labelled, find the cable(s) that go to the two PIR's and disconnect them from the 12v terminal. You should now be able to move them without a problem. Just remeber to reconnect the 12v terminal when...

Scantronic 9448+ tamper alarm (with tamper linked out)

If all tamper cicuits are linked out, then it sounds like it might be a wiring problem. Other things that can cause spurious tamper faults are water getting in the external box, neighbours switching lighting on or a taxi going past and using his radio.... amongst a couple of million other...

    Wireless colour CCTV

Your main decision is whether or not you should use IP cameras instead of CCTV cameras. My personal view is that you would get a lot more functionality out of IP Cameras, but there are many things that you need to take into consideration. If you want to log into some IP cameras, let me know...

    Panic Button

Yes - if you are confident enough to open up the panel. You will see two terminals marked PA - for personal attack. You need to "short out" those two terminals either by a short peice of alarm cable or if there is a staple left inside the panel - you could use that. Remember that the alarm...

    Old Wickes Alarm help please

or...... if this happens on a regular basis, and it sounds like it does because your panel battery is dead, you may want to remove the battery from the external bell-box if there is one. Taking it one step further, you could even remove the battery from your alarm panel if avoiding annoying...
